Privacy

What we collect, why, and how to delete it, in plain English.

Who we are

ScoreMyComp (scoremycomp.com) grades casino comp offers. It is owned and operated by Sekhem Holdings I LLC, referred to here as "we" or "us".

Questions or requests: privacy@scoremycomp.com.

The short version

  • You upload a win/loss statement and an offer from the same casino. Your browser reads the files on your device; only the extracted text is sent to us, where names and account numbers are stripped. The files themselves are never uploaded.
  • We keep the numbers. Anything we publish from them is combined, anonymous stats.
  • If you add your email, your grades are saved to your private profile. You can delete it all from /me.
  • We don't sell your data and we don't share it with casinos or casino hosts.
  • There are no advertising or analytics trackers on the site.

What we collect

  • Your win/loss statement and offer (PDF or image): read in your browser, on your device. The files are not uploaded to us. Only the text extracted from them is sent, and we redact it before using the numbers. We never receive or keep the files.
  • Extracted numbers: the club, property, year, coin-in, coin-out, jackpots, win/loss columns, days and trips, and the offer amounts (free play, room nights, food and resort credit). We also record which numbers you changed on the confirm screen, and which kinds of personal details the reader found and removed (for example "name" or "account number"). We don't record the details themselves.
  • Your email, if you save a grade, sign in, or join a waitlist.
  • Your username. We generate one for you, like LuckySevenRider42, and you can change it. We don't ask for your real name.
  • The IP address you sign up from, stored on your account to help stop abuse and referral fraud.
  • Sign-in codes: when email sign-in is on, we store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of each 6-digit code, with its expiry time.
  • Older password accounts: some accounts made on the earlier members page have a password, and we store it only as a salted hash.
  • Forum posts, votes and reports, and your saved casinos and alert settings, if you use those features.
  • Waitlist entries: your email, which form you used, and what you asked to hear about.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, page requested and time, for security and debugging.

How we remove names and account numbers

When the extracted text reaches us, our software looks for names, addresses, account and player numbers, emails and phone numbers and leaves them out of what we store. It's automatic and it can miss something, so please check what you upload and the numbers shown with your grade. If you spot personal details anywhere on your profile, email us and we'll remove them.

AI and automated processing

  • Reading: files are read in your browser by open-source software we host ourselves (pdf.js for PDFs, Tesseract OCR for photos and scanned pages). Only the extracted text is sent to our servers, where software redacts it and pulls out the numbers. We don't send your files or numbers to any outside AI service or AI model.
  • Grading: your grade is calculated automatically by a fixed formula. It estimates your theoretical loss from coin-in using planning hold rates and compares that with the value of the offer. It is an estimate for information only. It isn't personal financial or gambling advice, and it isn't a promise of what any casino will offer you.
  • Checking: automated reading can get numbers wrong, so check them on the confirm screen before you grade. Any number you change is marked as edited.
  • Training: we don't use your uploads or personal information to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
  • Site content: some site content and graphics may be created or assisted by AI tools. Most photos are stock photos from Pexels or our own pictures, and each one is credited on our Image credits page.
  • People: uploads are kept pending and can be looked at by a person before anything is used publicly. If you have a question about a grade or want a person to look at it, email us.

How we use it

  • To read your documents and give you a grade.
  • To save your grades and statement summaries to your private profile.
  • To sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • To build anonymous stats about comp offers and play levels.
  • To email you about things you asked for, such as sign-in codes or the early-access list.
  • To send a short series of welcome and tip emails after you sign up, save a grade, or upload an offer with your email, plus news when member tools open. Every one of these has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing stops them right away; sign-in codes still arrive when you ask for one. We record which of these emails we sent you so you don't get the same one twice.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Anonymous pooled stats

Uploaded numbers stay pending and are not shown publicly. Anything we publish from them is combined into stats such as ranges and averages. It never includes your email, username, IP address or account numbers. We publish a figure only when it combines enough reports that no one person can be picked out: at least 5 separate reports. Below that, we show nothing for that figure.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We don't share it with casinos, players clubs or casino hosts. We use these service providers to run the site:

  • Vercel: hosting and server logs.
  • Neon: our database.
  • Resend: sends sign-in codes and other emails, once email is switched on.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the site (the new owner would be bound by this policy).

Cookies and local storage

  • scoremycomp-session: keeps you signed in for up to 45 days. Signing out or deleting your account ends it.
  • smc-pending-claim: holds a just-made grade for up to 24 hours while you sign in to an existing account.
  • Your browser also stores your light or dark theme choice, and whether you've dismissed our email prompts during this visit.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

How long we keep it

  • Statement and offer files: never uploaded or kept; they are read in your browser. The extracted text is used for the read and not stored.
  • Your account, saved grades and the numbers you uploaded: kept until you delete your account.
  • Sign-in codes: they stop working after 15 minutes, and we delete them when you delete your account.
  • Waitlist emails: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
  • Email preferences: if you unsubscribe, we keep your email on a do-not-email list so we can honor that choice.
  • Uploads made without an account: they can't be linked back to you, so they stay in the anonymous pool.
  • Server logs: kept as long as our hosting provider keeps them.

Deleting your data and your choices

On your profile at /me you can change your username or email, sign out, or delete your account. Deleting removes your account, your saved grades, the statement numbers you uploaded, your forum posts, saved casinos and alert settings, and your sign-in codes, and it can't be undone. Waitlist sign-ups are kept separately, so to remove one, unsubscribe or email us.

Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA/CPRA) and Colorado (Colorado Privacy Act), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We don't do any of these.

To make a request, email privacy@scoremycomp.com from the address on your account, or use /me. We'll confirm the request comes from you before acting on it, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. You can have an authorized agent make a request for you. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and Colorado residents can also contact the Colorado Attorney General.

Security

We use HTTPS, httpOnly session cookies, signed tokens and hashed codes and passwords, and statement and offer files are read in your browser rather than uploaded. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't upload anything you aren't comfortable sharing.

21+ only

ScoreMyComp is for adults 21 and over and isn't meant for minors. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you think a minor has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
